Program Information
The Western Pennsylvania Construction Industry “Drug Free”
Partnership is a substance abuse program, developed by the union contractors
and multiple building trades, to create a “drug free” workplace
in the construction industry in Pittsburgh, PA. The program includes
over 15,000 union construction workers who are participate in testing
for annual renewal in the program, randomly, and post accident. Testing
is conducted in 33 counties through a network of collection facilities
and on-site testing at job sites and union halls. The program is used
by over 200 contractors who access program data via the Internet when
they are seeking qualified workers.
MMC is the third party administrator with the responsibility of coordinating
and providing training, testing, random selection, annual renewals,
maintenance of program data and preparation of program reports. MMC
also performs all regular program maintenance, which includes random
selections and annual program renewal notification.
